Local Chef Clark Church will bring his fresh new ideas of affordable Colorado cuisine to his restaurant, Garnish located in the Timberline with easy access off Fanny Hill.  Garnish will be open daily for lunch, après ski and dinner and will feature a wide variety of soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch and local fare including Buffalo Sliders, Elk, Lamb and Trout for dinner along with many healthy options. New 12-foot halfpipe in Snowmass
Have you ever wanted to try a halfpipe but were just a little too intimated?   Now you can with the new 12-foot halfpipe in Snowmass built specifically for those still learning how to ride a pipe.  This joins the 18-foot superpipe in the award-winning Snowmass Park, home to Olympian Gretchen Bleiler, and featured in dozens of photo shoots and movies.   The new 12-foot pipe is built by the Lowdown Park will welcome guests of all levels to drop in and feel the thrill of the halfpipe just like their Olympic and X Games heroes.  Including the 22-foot superpipe in Buttermilk used at the X Games, Aspen/Snowmass is one of the few resorts in the world to offer three halfpipes to accommodate all skill levels. 

SNOWMASS HOLIDAY EVENTS
From tree-lighting ceremonies to a torchlight parade to Santa’s magical presence, Snowmass simply sparkles with holiday cheer. For last-minute Christmas wishes, your kids can make sure the jolly old fellow hears about it by dropping off a note in his personal mailbox located on the Snowmass Village Mall. Hanukkah is celebrated at The Silvertree Hotel December 2-10.  For art lovers, there is an Open House & Live Art Auction at Anderson Ranch Arts Center on December 14 which includes a tour of the art studios via candlelit walkways with hundreds of luminaries.  This special evening includes a children’s ornament decorating activity, exhibition opening reception and festive goodies. Activities culminate with a live auction featuring artwork by nationally and internationally renowned artists and dinner in the Ranch Café.  From December 21 to 24, the North Pole comes to the Snowmass when Santa’s magical village opens to hear the last minute requests of good girls and boys with complimentary photos with Santa. Carolers stroll through the mall and Base Village singing favorite Christmas Carols, December 23-24.  The Torchlight Parade, an annual favorite, will illuminate Snowmass on December 23 at 5:00 pm.  Moms, dads and kids ages 8 and older are invited to be part of the free trail of light down the mountain. Holiday events at The Silvertree Hotel include the Loving Tree Ceremony on December 7 to the New Year’s Gala at the Cabaret Room. Enjoy Holiday music in the Silvertree lobby from December 12-24, with visits with Santa from December 20-24 and Christmas Eve with stories from Santa by the fireplace.
