Mountain biking, mountain boarding and skateboarding
When was the last time you tried a new sport? Camp Aspen/Snowmass, located at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall, offers activities and instruction for kids and adults - giving you the opportunity to learn a new sport or brush up on your skills. Come visit us and say you learned something new on your vacation.
Nature hikes and walks
Join a naturalist from the renowned Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, who will guide you and your family on a beautiful tour of Snowmass Mountain that features fantastic views of Snowmass Village and the surrounding area.
The first community recreation center and pool just opened in Snowmass, west of Horse Ranch Drive, featuring a leisure pool, two-lane lap pool, adult spa, tot pool, water slide, water cave, bubble rock, downspout and more. Of course, all of our properties have swimming pools. That's why it's a kid's favorite place in the summer!
Children visiting the Snowmass area can enjoy abundant fishing in the area's alpine lakes, or land cutthroat and rainbow trout at a secret mid-mountain pond on Snowmass Mountain that's open only to kids aged 4 to 10 years.
From easy, gentle water to rip-roaring rapids, you'll find half-day and full-day trips of all levels on the Roaring Fork, Arkansas and Colorado rivers. Our outfitter provides transportation, lunches, wetsuits, flotation devices and everything else you need for a great experience.
Daily fun for kids aged three through teens, including mountainboarding, skateboarding, mountain biking, rafting, nature tours, crafts, rocket building, overnight trips and field trips.

Kids and adults can bounce the day away and reach for the stars on this hybrid trampoline located at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall.
Try your hand at this unique sport, which features an 18-hole course on Snowmass Mountain. Start at the top of the Burlingame Lift and work your way down to the Snowmass Village Mall, trying to hit each hole - basically a netted basket - with Frisbees of different sizes.
Test your mountain climbing skills in a safe environment where all climbers are harnessed and supervised. Our 25-foot rock-climbing wall, located at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall, is open daily.
Elk Camp Gondola
Hop on board the Elk Camp Gondola with your mountain bike and experience Snowmass’ thrilling trail system. Or access 36 holes of disc golf, miles of hiking trails, paintball and even a kid-friendly climbing wall and Eurobungy. The Elk Camp Chairlift will take you even higher — to a summit of 11,325 feet — where the views stretch on for miles. Sign up for a naturalist hike with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies and get to know the alpine ecosystem (and its resident marmots) a little better.
Children step back in time at the hands-on Buckskin Mine on Elk Camp, where they can pan for gold creek-side just like the miners once did.
An ideal dining adventure for families and groups, featuring an evening jeep excursion to the historic Burlingame Cabin on Snowmass Mountain. Here, you'll enjoy a golden sun setting against the magnificent Elk Mountains, sprawling vistas of Mt. Daly, a delicious dinner hot off the grill, a roaring campfire and live music.
Treat the whole family to a group sing-a-long led by a warbling cowboy while you drink hot chocolate and munch on marshmallows roasted over the fire.
Storytelling under the stars
Snuggle up in blankets near a crackling campfire and under the stars, enjoying s'mores and hot chocolate. Master storytellers and crooning cowboys bring the West to life with well-known camp songs and interactive tall tales.

Artists and teachers encourage kids aged 6 to 17 to explore their creativity in visual arts workshops held throughout the summer.
Historical tours of Aspen
Discover Aspen's fascinating history with the Aspen Historical Society's costumed guides, who give public and private tours of Aspen's historic West End and Downtown. Short tours to the ghost towns of Ashcroft and Independence are also available.
Aspen Art Gallery Workshops

Run and Gun Paintball
Play Speedball, Capture the Flag and Sniper on these outdoor fields at the top of the Burlingame Chairlift.
